Is it possible that my cat killed my trees by scratching them?
All the trees in my yard seem to be dying.
I thought maybe it was the weather, but all my neighbor’s trees are still green.
Recently, my cat has been going outside more often and scratching them ALOT.
Is it possible that has something to do with my trees dying?

I have a dog also, could either of their urine kill trees?

No, but you need to have someone come over who deals with trees and lawn care to have them check your property out. It is strange your neighbors trees are fine but yours are dead. Also, do some research on your property, maybe your house was built over a indian grave yard. Go to your local library and check the archives of your property. Don’t know what else to tell ya. All I can say is it is not your animals.

Yes, feline and canine urine is acidic. Over exposure to this could possibly killing your trees.

Yes, it could be. Have you got a scratching post for your cat? If not, you need one. Cats naturally need to sharpen their claws.

Is your dog female? Because apparently female dog’s urine contains acid. When he/she pees, you should hose off your trees and run enough water to flush all the urine below the roots. Unless you get the urine flushed from the root zone your trees could die quickly.
