Pet Stress – Suggestions for dealing with my partner's animals?
My partner and I moved in together 5 years ago. At the time, he had 2 cats and 1 dog. They are all 13 years old. One cat vomits at least 2x per day and requires medicine to keep her from doing it more often, I guess. The dog is sweet but is old and deaf and requires a lot of attention now. BTW, the other cat is fine. The cat and dog are driving me crazy and are more a source of stress than anything else for me. I try to help take care of them, clean up after them, etc., but it is getting old.
I love my partner and appreciate these animals for what they mean to him. I don’t want to hurt him or force him to make any decisions that he’ll regret. But I’m on the verge of taking an apartment until they die or move on. Any suggestions on how to deal with this situation?
Well first you have to understand and respect that he’s had these pets much longer then you’ve been around and he loves them and really cares for them so them getting sick doesn’t annoy him it probably makes him sad, so try not be overly negative towards them and him. As for the cat that vomits all the time, what did the vet say? It can often be cured by trying a hairball medication to clear the throat or by upgrading the food to a better quality brand. If you really can’t take them then maybe you should move out until they pass because it’s really unfair to ask anything of else your partner who loves them .

After trying to pawn the pre-freshman off on his housemate (Jon Favreau), Droz sets off on his normal daily activities including disrupting a political protest by throwing meat at a group of vegan protesters. The President of the University then receives a number of complaints, and with the help of her lackey (superbly portrayed by David Spade), she may finally have the power to kick Droz’s house off campus. But the Pit throws an all-campus rager where George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic performs, and everything might turn out alright if the various political groups can forget their protests for one night and just have fun together.

American Pie is absolutely nothing like animal house, PCU or Porky’s. atleast girl next door is about high school but still no where close. I have never heard of going all the way, but I will say that movie is most alike, since none of the others you mentioned are even close

I’ve seen all those movies and the only one that I think is remotely close is "Girl Next Door". Animal house, PCU, Porky’s is no where close. "Going all the Way" shouldn’t even be in the same subject. That movie was kinda dumb.
American Pie was a raunchy movie about guys trying to get laid. Girl Next Door was just a "plain" comedy about guys trying to get laid. That’s why I think that’s the closest. One is plain the other is raunchy.

I know you put a list to choose from, but I would say the movie most like American Pie is actually Sex Drive. That’s my favorite comedy right now! I’ve seen it like a million times, and personally, I like it way better than any of the American Pies (and I love the A.P. movies). It is hilarious, go see it NOW!

Is it the motherboard or the processor?
i was installing a new psu and for some reason a cable touched something inside and some sparks came out and it smelled to burn. my problem is that when i turn on my computer, it doesn’t boot up. fans spin, hard drive is working. and no signal is sent to my monitor. and i don’t know it is the motherboard that doesn’t work anymore or if it is the pcu.
but if it is the motherboard how come the fans spin and hard drive. wouldn’t it be dead. like it wouldn’t even receive power.
well you know what they say.. there’s always a first time…
what cable? from where? touched something inside of what, the psu? if you are going ask a question like that or to diagnose a problem you need to be Very Specific about what happened.
all anyone can do is guess because all you give is generalizations about "this, that and the other thing". that’s how vague your question is.
what you ideally need to do is to disconnect the power from the computer and have an identical computer nearby. most people don’t.
then you take each component one at a time out of the suspect computer and test it in a known-working computer. that will tell you which part(S) are bad. You won’t like this, but if the power supply malfunctioned at the wrong time and the 20/24 pin connector was attached to the board or any other peripheral you could have multiple parts that are fried. A defective power supply and/or something you caused installing it wrong Can take out anything in its path…
The smell of burning components or wires is never good.

Yea it’s the mobo. Sparks is not good hopefully the CPU is ok… I’ve fried mobo’s just by dropping a screw on them.

First off, ALWAYS disconnect the power supply BEFORE opening your computer case. Wait for afew seconds to run out any residual charge as well, and ground yourself by touching the metal of the case to release any static charge in your body.
If you were installing a PSU (power source) and it is now still providing power, then the new PSU is probably still functional. You likely cooked your MoBo though. I think you just learned your lesson the hard way my friend, better luck next time.

You probably killed the video portion of your motherboard. Instead of using the built in video, add a compatible video card and you should get your display back.
If you still don’t get a display try booting from the os disk and see what happens.
I had the same issue and gave up. didn’t have enough spare parts to swap everything out until I could figure out what fried. Ended up buying a system.

was i being a good friend?
I fell out with m best friend at uni again this term and it’s my fault. We fell out because i was saying that he was going to take a lot out of himself by going to the gym twice a day and then go swimming in the evening as well. he then got defensive saying it was none of my business and that he could do what he wanted. i then reacted badly and said i was ending the friendship. i didn’t mean it tho. i needed to cool off.
i later apologised to him but he refuses to accept it now saying we have fought too many times and that i have hurt him so much. he says we may be friends again one day but he can’t forgive me atm. i was trying to look out for him but i got annoyed when he said mind your business. he is going through a lot though. his dad had a heart attack recently and he is struggling to deal with that.
I think the fight on both of your parts is silly. Tell him too bad your going to be there for him regardless of the fight. You guys might fight alot but you guys always over come the problems. He needs you and you should be there for him, fight your way back in. Just talk about something else don’t keep talking about the old fight. Get tickets for a concert or movie Just move on.

wow..such a nice story..in a sad way though..if your asking whether you were being a good friend..of course in that situation,you weren’t..and yeah,whenever you get mad,you say some things that are unexpected and things like that..but that isn’t an excuse.. if you really want to regain your friendship back,you should not give up in apologizing and make him realize that you really were sorry..coz for me,no matter how big the situation is,if you don’t want to loose your friendship,you won’t give up even though he’ll push you..i’ve tried that actually..and oh yeah..one more thing,give him a little time to cool off..i think it’s best for it to be that..and think of ways again in how to make him forgive you and stuffs..GOOD LUCK then.! ^^,

How do I prepare for a marvel-themed halloween party?
Ok so for the past 4 years, my fam has had a vampire party every halloween. I always decorate my house really old dracula style with candles, ball-like dance area. We really get into it. As a matter of fact last year we dyed the back-yard pool water red to give it like a bloody look with hidden fog machines around it. Its always a huge hit, more and more people show up every time. Last year I think we reached almost 200 people so its a pretty big deal and everyone really enjoys it. Since the vampire parties were all a huge success, I was thinking of having a Marvel-themed party this time. I’ve already mentioned my idea to past party guests and they said it would be an awesome idea. Problem is, I don’t really have a clue how I’m supposed to decorate my house marvel-style. I really want it to be as good if not better than the vampire party, so any ideas would be very appreciated!

The idiom "to choke" means to fail in a high-pressure situation.
